Elizabeth Figgie a.k.a. “Ms Figgie Paper” is a maker of chic, one-of-a-kind envelopes using recycled papers and Pro® Artist Tape (and a long-time follower of Pro Tapes®)! Today we’ll find out what inspires her to create her fine paper crafts and how she learned about Pro® Artist Tape.
You may ask, how could tape of all things help young Pre-K students (ages 2 to 5) with developing fine motor skills? Believe it or not, the amazing properties of tape (color, cleanliness, move-ability) make it the perfect tool for developing young children’s gross and fine motor skills!
Paula creates beautiful, delicate sculptures that blend right
in with the natural world. Their intricate shapes evoke honeycombs, fungi,
ocean waves, tree rings and other Fibonacci-esque natural patterns.
You might never guess these sculptures were made of tape unless we told you – but they are! Indeed, Paula uses our Pro® 796 pH Neutral Masking Tape to create her delicate (but weather resistant!) works.
This tape sculpture by Paula Reynaldi was made with Pro® 796. The sculpture evokes the structure of honeycomb or fungi, and it resists weather conditions as well.
Today we asked her a few questions about her tape sculpture practice.
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and it’s a time
when many people stress out over getting their loved one the perfect romantic gift.
But honestly, sometimes the best gift is something simple that you put just a
little sweat and elbow grease into!
Today we’re showing you how to make a simple DIY jewelry box Valentine’s Day craft, using some of our wonderful tapes, including: Pro® Felt, Pro® Sheen, and Pro® 965. This Valentine’s Day craft is easy for all ages, although we’d recommend supervising and assisting any children on cutting steps.
